Roll On/Roll Off
Looking for a more affordable way to ship your vehicle? Cargo Out Logistics offers Ro/Ro service from any port in the United States to most destinations around the world. Ro/Ro service is usually the most cost effective option for shipping all types of vehicles including, cars, boats trucks, motorcycles, RV’s, heavy machinery or just about any other type of cargo that can be driven or towed inside a vessel.
What is Roll On/Roll Off?
Roll On/Roll Off also known as Ro/Ro are vessels that have ramps that open to allow all types of drivable or towable cargo to go onto the vessel. All cargo loaded onto the vessel is securely strapped down and placed under decks that protect your cargo from all different elements of the sea.
Please keep in mind that the cost of a Ro/Ro shipment is calculated based on the size and weight of the cargo along with the point of origin and final destination.
If you are not sure the measurements or weight of your vehicle, worry not. Our staff is able to obtain that information with just the year, make, and model of the vehicle you wish to ship.
For all our customers thinking of sending their vehicle by Ro/Ro please note that the vehicle must be completely empty, no personal effects are allowed inside the car. The only items allowed are factory items that are part of the auto, for example a spare tire, floor mats, etc
Documents required to use Ro/Ro service
To ship any vehicle, you will need the original title or Certificate of Origin in order for it to be cleared for export thru U.S. Customs & Border Protection. Please note if you have a lien on the vehicle, an original, notarized letter from the lienholder will be required by U.S. Customs, authorizing you to ship the vehicle overseas. Also, depending on the port the vehicle will sail from, you may need a Bill of Sale or a Notarized Bill of Sale. If you need more information, contact us today! tel: +1 301 679 9898
Now, when shipping construction equipment, boats, towable cargo or cargo which would not essentially have a title, the customer may use the bill of sale to confirm the vehicle identification number/serial number of the cargo being shipped.
